Life is not defined by physical borders. Continuous with its environment, life is an existence whose boundaries are ambiguous.

The giant sculptures in this artwork depict the continuous dissipation of energy into the environment by the birds that fly around them.

When birds fly, that energy affects the environment, such as the flow of air.

The wind blowing and the birds flying at the present moment, and the memories of birds that flew by from sunrise to sunset overlap. The sculptures depict the energy of the birds dissipating into the wind at this very moment.

To attract the flow of birds, trees and plants that bear fruit, as well as those where insects tend to gather, were planted on the island where the sculptures stand. The artwork is sustained as birds fly around the flora planted nearby. The existence of the birds, however, is not only sustained by the island, but rather by the bigger ecosystem made up of the forest and lake of the vast botanical garden. The existence of these sculptures is not defined by the tangible borders of the sculptures themselves, but is continuous with its environment, their boundaries ambiguous.
