Microcosmoses: Wobbling Light and Environmental Light
Microcosmoses: Wobbling Light and Environmental Light
Countless lights continue to move through an infinite space with an unknown depth.
The artwork explores the question, “Can a universe be created by components that are spatially and temporally separate, but where different orders are formed and overlap as a whole?”
Inside the sphere, Wobbling Light like a lump of jelly, and Environmental Light overlap.
The Wobbling Light is part of teamLab's art project Cognitive Sculpture, which are sculptures that are shaped by the person’s own active body and cognition, appearing and existing only in each person’s cognitive world.
Each sphere cannot produce all the light by itself, a group of other spheres become the environment, and the environment produces a myriad of light within each sphere. The spheres become a part of the environment that creates the light of the other spheres. The phenomenon caused by the environment is responsible for the existence of the work.
Dynamic body, perception, and environment open up the possibility of a new existence that is different from material existence.
Rethinking perception and existence.
