For the past several years, teamLab has been working to create "spatial calligraphy"—calligraphy that is written in mid-air. The calligraphy is reconstructed with the depth, speed, and power of Zen bokuseki calligraphy, yet reinterpreted through its rendition in three-dimensional space. Characters that mean "OPENING CEREMONY" are written in mid-air and float to envelop the space, then form logos.
