Vanishing Tree and Wildflowers, Emerging Dark Enso
Vanishing Tree and Wildflowers, Emerging Dark Enso
These trees and wildflowers are real and alive.
However, part of the trees and wildflowers disappear, and the remaining vegetation is incorporated into a flat plane, becoming a living painting.
This painting becomes a painting for the first time only at the moment when the visitors view the artwork. It holds infinite possibilities of images until it is viewed, at which moment it is determined as a single image. Then, in response to the moving body of the viewer, the image shifts and changes.
The Enso being drawn within the white light emerges from within that light.
The black lines that draw the Enso are darkness, or the absence of light. However, the Enso drawn by the darkness, which is void of matter or light, appears in front of the white light.
The recognition of existence does not involve the presence of objects or light.
It is born and shaped in relation to its surroundings.
