teamLab通过艺术作品《Matter is Void》，探索着所有权的概念。

这是一个NFT作品。这个作品只有一个NFT，但这并不意味着它是独一无二的。无论是谁无论是多少人，都可以下载并拥有这件作品。换句话说，无论是否拥有该作品的NFT，被下载的作品都是相同的，它们都是真品。

作品显示的是由teamLab选择的文字“Matter is Void”。只有NFT所有者可以任意修改文字，而修改后的文字将反映在世界各地的人下载的作品中。

根据NFT所有者选择的文字，作品的价值将发生变化。如果NFT所有者改写的文字具有价值，更多的人可能会选择拥有该作品；而如果这些文字不具有价值，人们可能不再选择展示该作品。改写一个很多人看的作品的文字可能有很大的价值，反之，改写一个不受人关注的作品的文字则没有什么价值。这也就是说，根据NFT所有者改写的文字，这件NFT作品的价值也可能发生变化。

此外，即使NFT所有者在将文字改写成其他文字后，重新将其改回 "Matter is Void"，这些文字也会呈现出不同于初始的状态。最初的 "Matter is Void "一旦被修改，将无法再看到相同的状态。


被写在作品中的文字，会不断地公转和自转。不停旋转的文字，我们也许能在某些角度认出它们，也可能会在某些瞬间辨认出文字的整体含义，接着它们又会再一次变回难以辨认的文字。文字的公转，在视觉上既是顺时针的，又是逆时针的，它会随着观赏者的意识，呈现向左方向或向右方向旋转的形态。

Multiple seasons exist simultaneously, changing gradually across the installation space. The seasonal flowers repeat the cycle of life and death in perpetuity, and the places where they grow change. When people touch the flowers, the petals scatter, and when they keep their hands still, more flowers begin to grow.
The world of the artwork changes with the real flow of time of its location. The artwork grows brighter as the sun rises and darker when the sun sets. 
The time experienced by the viewer’s body, the time of the location, and the time of the flower's repeating the cycle of life and death, all intersect and overlap, whilst remaining connected to the body, the place, and the world of the artwork. In the artwork space different times and spaces overlap.
The artwork is not a pre-recorded image that is played back; it is created by a computer program that continuously renders the work in real time. The interaction between people and the installation causes continuous change in the artwork, so previous visual states can never be replicated, and will never reoccur. The picture at this moment can never be seen again.

The contours of life’s existence are not the surface boundary of the body, but something ambiguous that includes the environment that is continuous with it.
As long as people live, they dissipate energy and affect the environment, such as the flow of air.
In this artwork, the existence of a person is depicted through the energy dissipated by people into the world for as long as they live.

Being consists of the mind, the body, and the environment that is continuous with them.

Objects like stones and man-made creations so far have maintained a stable structure on their own. But life is different. Whereas a stone can continue to exist in a closed box, sealed off from the outside world, life would cease to exist.

Life is like a vortex created in the ocean. A vortex forms and exists in a flow of matter, and the boundaries of its existence are ambiguous.  

Although a vortex is steady, it is constantly moving and swelling like a powerful life-form. The vortex cannot maintain a stable structure on its own; rather, it is created and sustained by water that continuously flows inwards and outwards.

The same is true of life. It consumes external matter and energy as food and discharges it, sustaining its ordered structure as the energy dissipates. In other words, life does not exist by itself. It is the environment that is continuous with it that maintains the structure of life.

Life is a miraculous phenomenon that emerges from a flow in an open world. Like an ocean vortex, it is an existence with ambiguous boundaries in an infinite continuity.

To be alive is to be inseparable from the world, constantly dissipating energy into it.

光点存在固有的明暗与色相周期。彼此靠近的光点之间会出现同步现象，彼此靠近的光点的明暗节奏和色相会逐渐接近。人如果接触这些光点，光点的明暗与色相周期就会产生变化变得各不相同，之后彼此靠近的光点间的明暗节奏和色相会再次逐渐接近。
每个光点在每次明暗闪烁时都会响起一个音调。空间中，只有这些音调串联后发出的声音，而我们在这个空间里感知到的音乐，也只是由明暗闪烁串联起来的音调而形成的。

同步现象是指不同的节奏之间相互影响从而变得一致。比如，挂在墙上的两个挂钟的钟摆会逐渐同步摆动。众多萤火虫聚集在一棵树上时，会同步闪烁并产生更大的光亮。构成心脏的细胞们同步律动使得心脏得以产生跳动。这种影响在物理现象、神经生理学、生命系统和生态学等许多领域与系统中都可以见到。即使每个个体不具备审视整体的能力，也会由于个体的自律行为最终形成一个有秩序的大结构。这种自发地生成秩序的现象可以称之为自组织现象。

原本，在宇宙中熵（用于表示物质系统无序程度的物理量）只会保持不变或增加（熵增定律），物质或系统则会在这个过程中逐渐崩溃。但尽管如此，太阳诞生、行星诞生、生命出现、社会存在，这些事情想来都是不可思议的。宇宙中的生命，自然与社会之所以依旧得以成立，大概就是因为在向失序发展的同时，仍然有自组织的现象的普遍存在，使得秩序能够得以生成吧。也就是说，这个宇宙，以及自我的存在，也都是由同一个现象、持续不断地产生的秩序。
