Animals of Flowers, Symbiotic Lives in the Stone Wall – Kochi Castle

teamLab, 2018, Interactive Digital Installation, Sound: Hideaki Takahashi

Flowers grow from the bodies of animals that inhabit the stone walls of Kochi Castle. The walls themselves are built on top of the undisturbed natural rock landscape.

The flowers bud, bloom, scatter and fade away in a continuous cycle.

When people move close to the animals the flowers scatter. Once all of the flowers have scattered the animals disappear.
