Vortex of Water Particles
A three dimensional rock was created in a fictional computer environment and water was poured on to it. The water is expressed as continuum of hundreds of thousand of water particles that flow in accordance with how the computer calculates the interaction of the particles. Once an accurate water flow simulation has been constructed 0.1% of the water particles are selected and lines drawn in relation to them. The waterfall is expressed as the combination of these lines. Behind the lines exist thousands of water particles and the curve of the lines drawn depends on their overall interaction.
The waterfall video artwork is created in three-dimensions in a three-dimensional space in line with the concept of what we call “Ultra Subjective Space” – the logical structure of spatial awareness of ancient Japanese.
The waterfall is rendered at a resolution five times that of full HD to allow for the intricate and extreme detail of the work.
