teamLab, 2016, Interactive Lamp, Murano Glass, LED

A group of lamps with their brightness and color controlled freely by sensing the distance between the lamp and viewers.
The lamp shade is made by Murano Glass (Venetian Glass).

・Interactive Network
Sensors determine the position of viewers in real time and allow for people to interact with the space. The lamps are linked to a network and, and for example, light can radiate from the position of people, and people can become a starting point for dynamic spatial expression.

・Brightness and colors can be freely controlled every 1/30 sec
Full color LEDs are used. Each LED’s brightness and color can be freely controlled every 1/30sec.

・Murano Glass
The lampshades are fashioned of Murano glass from the islands of Murano in Italy. The glass is mouth blown to create 4 sfumato layers of gradation from top to bottom from a milky white to transparent.
