SINGAPORE — Sales continued to remain strong on the second day of Art Stage Singapore, with a surprisingly high number of visitors attending for a mid-week event.
Ikkan Art Gallery, which was showcasing one work by teambLab, “Nirvana,” sold all five editions plus the artist’s proof for a total of $400,000, while Hong Kong-based Kwai Fung Hin Art Gallery sold five video pieces by Lee Lee Nam, including an eight-screen installation, “Traditional Painting – Happiness,” which went for $262,000. “You have very serious collectors here asking a lot of questions,” said gallery owner Catherine Kwai.
