Flowers bloom on the surface of the water. When people enter the water, the flower artwork becomes interactive. A Seasonal year of flowers is depicted.
The flowers are born, they grow and blossom before their petals scatter, and the flowers wither and fade away. The cycle of growth and decay repeats itself in perpetuity. The flowers are influenced by the behaviour of people in the water. If people move about rapidly, the flowers scatter and fade, stop still and the more flowers are born and bloom around them.
The work is rendered in real time by a computer program, it is neither a pre-recorded animation nor on loop. The interaction between the viewer and the installation causes continuous change in the artwork. Previous visual states can never be replicated, and will never reoccur.
