The television in your home becomes art. Watch at home, participate at home, and connect with the world. The basement of GINZA 456 will become a huge art space created by people who are connected to the world.
The characters you draw will start to walk with the characters drawn by people from all over the world, in houses all over the world, and they will continue to walk in the exhibition space of GINZA 456 as one continuous line.
The novel coronavirus has forced the world to become more isolated, causing people to become confined to their homes. KDDI and teamLab have started this project to celebrate the fact that our existence is connected to the world through the power of "communication" and "creativity".

The characters you drew will walk in a line with the characters drawn by people all over the world, and they will start to walk around on TVs throughout the world. They will also walk life-size through the basement of GINZA 456.
With the power of "communication" and "creativity," we will turn imagination into experience.
No matter where you are in the world, draw a character on a piece of paper, your smartphone, or computer, and upload it. The characters you draw, and the characters drawn by others, walk in real time on the YouTube Live Stream. When you connect your TV to YouTube, your TV becomes art. They also start walking in the displays at GINZA 456. When the new character starts walking, the name of the town where the character was drawn will be shown.
In the basement of GINZA 456, people from all over the world draw characters on paper or with their smartphones, and the characters become life-sized and start walking. The characters you drew will walk in a line with the characters drawn by people all over the world, and they will start to walk around. teamLab (f. 2001) is an international art collective. Their collaborative practice seeks to navigate the confluence of art, science, technology, and the natural world. Through art, the interdisciplinary group of specialists, including artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, and architects, aims to explore the relationship between the self and the world, and new forms of perception.
In order to understand the world around them, people separate it into independent entities with perceived boundaries between them. teamLab seeks to transcend these boundaries in our perceptions of the world, of the relationship between the self and the world, and of the continuity of time. Everything exists in a long, fragile yet miraculous, borderless continuity.
teamLab exhibitions have been held in cities worldwide, including New York, London, Paris, Singapore, Silicon Valley, Beijing, and Melbourne among others. teamLab museums and large-scale permanent exhibitions include teamLab Borderless and teamLab Planets in Tokyo, teamLab Borderless Shanghai, and teamLab SuperNature Macao, with more to open in cities including Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Hamburg, Jeddah, and Utrecht.
