Spatial Objects

2015

The digital domain allows individual and independent elements of an artwork to connect and behave as a group. Elements are able to move freely within the group and change position while continuing to be recognized as a single work of art. In other words, the elements that make up an artwork can freely move and change position so long as their collective behavior is maintained.

As the density of elements increases, the elements behaving as a group will be perceived as a single three-dimensional object. And because the elements that make up this object can move freely, people are able to enter this three-dimensional object.
